According to several reports, Bayern Munich defender David Alaba has agreed a deal in principle to join Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid in the summer, ending rumors of a possible move to English Premier League heavyweights Liverpool. The Austrian international defender is set to lift the German Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich for the last time, with the club needing just one league win to do so.

His exit from the German club will see his 13-year relationship with the Bavarians finally come to an end and he is reportedly moving on in search of a new adventure with a new club and a new league. His refusal to agree a new contract with Bayern means he will be leaving the club on a free transfer because he will become a free agent at the end of the current season which will see his current deal expire.
